1, 2, 3, 4

As of now the ages of the Pearman cousins are 1, 2, 3 and 4. We took some pictures to remember this moment. If you look close enough you might be able to see their ages on their shirts

Toys

There are a few things I remember playing with as a kid but the 2 that stay with me the most are paper dolls and Calico Critters. Loved them both. The paper dolls were so fun to get and then see what outfits and accessories they came with. I had a lot of those, but the Calico Critters were my special toy that I kept up in my closet. I wouldn't even bring it out for company. I played with that and only me!

I had the Maple Town school house which Mom still has. She gets it out for Zara to play with but her attention span is a little to short to seem to sit down and enjoy it. I keep hoping one of these days its going to become her favorite toy. I've been wanting to buy a set (with the same hope in mind...that she'll LOVE it as I did) but they are SOO expensive so I just look and reminisce. BUT today as I was in the consignment shop here in town I looked up and saw this....

Now I never look up on the top shelves...they are pretty much out of view but I did today and boy am I glad. I didn't buy it right away because I wasn't sure what condition it was in or what came with it or what they even cost used so I went home and while the girls were napping I looked them up and I was just getting to pumped up to let it pass so as soon as Kanya woke up off we went to get and IT IS SO AWESOME.

I set up some ground rules and watched them like a hawk while they were playing so nothing would get wrecked. I don't actually know if they enjoyed that too much but this is going to become their special toy to whether they like it or not!

P.S. tried the paper dolls with Zara too...didn't go so well! Thats another story.

The girls had fun on my phone today. After deleting many pictures of the carpet and really close ups of their faces here is what i was left with....still a lot of close ups!

I took Lil' Sis out for drinks to celebrate her graduating! Here's to finishing half a year early...

Mexico

And we are back home. Had a great trip. So nice to miss the arctic weather that was happening here. I think that was the high point of the trip. Here is our vacation in a nutshell!

A few things I learnt while I was away.
-Garrett can relax WAY better than I can...this has NEVER happened before.
-I am a nervous flyer...thought the plane was gonna go down
-I missed my kids more than they missed me

Leaving

I'm wishing it was -30 right now as Garrett and I leave for Mexico on Saturday for a week and it would make leaving better. I always seem to get cold feet when I am about to leave my kidlets which amazes me because I usually am wanting nothing more then a break. Thinking of what others are going through is making it hard for me to leave my girls. Just would like to be with my family right now too.

I leave on Thursday to take them to Cold Lake to stay with Grandma and Grandpa while we are gone. It helps that they are excited! They will be away from home for 10 nights. Zara has had her bag packed for a week. In her bag is all these random papers with things for Grandma and Grandpa, stickers, sunglasses, books, sweat pants, one shirt and her pillow and blanket. That's all she needs for a good holiday!

It is coming up to our 5th anniversary and the day we get back is my birthday so I guess it is a pretty good gift for those occasions! Here is what I'll be missing when I am gone....
