Crayon Art

I downloaded the Pinterest app on my phone the other day (yes Molly, I caved) and it is true, its highly addicting and wastes A LOT of time but I can't get enough. After browsing for quite a while, I came across a picture a lady made with crayons. I have been looking for some art to hang down in the girls playroom so I thought it might work. I went to Wal-Mart and bought 3 canvas and a 96 pack of crayons. Yes a 96 pack, they are all different colors and amazing! I also used another pack of crayons I had laying around the house. Hope the girls don't mind that the crayons are now on the wall! Here is what I did...

Hair

Zara tried to convince me to let her wear her headband today...this was her argument. 'Mom, if you let me wear it I promise to not get hyper.' Needless to say it went up in a pony. But if only that would cure hyperness.

Doesn't look like much is going to help Kanya's hair! Plus side...you can actually tell she has hair. Static helps cure the mullet look!

Year in review

It has been a while...here is what you missed.
Had a great summer. Went to Salmon Arm convention and went to the lake for a week.
Attempted some family pictures in the fall....here are a couple. Zara is always a treat to take pictures of.

Kanya was in the hospital for a few nights with pneumonia. Not fun.

Did a couple projects for my living...re-did the coffee tables and made 2 matching lamps.

We had a great holiday season and now its 2012. Crazy. And your all caught up. Maybe 2012 is the year for me and my blog to get better acquainted.

We are on day 3 of a week of rain...just about 1/2 way through!
At least my garden likes it!

Newsworthy

Last week Zara went and stayed with my parents for 3 nights. It was weird just having one child again. I found I had SO much more energy. Kanya wasn't sure about not having her sister around. She just kinda wondered around looking a little lost... this is how she spent her days.

We are happy to have Zara back and have some entertainment.

WAY back in September I bought all these vintage looking pictures off Etsy to make a collage for my living room wall. Finally today the pictures were hung.
Here they are on the floor getting it set up.

Sleep Issues

These two videos represent 38 seconds of my life when Zara refuses to nap.


She keeps SUPER busy trying to stay awake.
I'm open to advise on how to make a soon to be 3-year-old sleep. Anyone?

Daily Happenings...

This is what our life is like lately.
Garrett and Zara have been playing Jenga lately and Zara is surprisingly good at it.

Kanya feeds herself most the time so this is usually what dinner looks like.

This video is Kanya trying the spoon for the first time. The rest of the meal was with fingers. It'll come.

Zara HAS to have a napkin every meal because she CANNOT stand messy hands but somehow the face doesn't seem to matter.
